TIPS is a community that aids its students to learn, practise, perform and grow in many extracurricular art forms under expert guidance and training. TIPS has its own ‘Cultural block’ where all the artists are crafted, dancers are taught, singers are noted and musicians are recorded. Even photographers are spotted, scriptwriters are moulded, graphic editors are groomed and actors are encouraged to perform.

ART & THE ARTIST

“Focus on the little things like a leaf, a flower, a stream, a kitten and then the bigger things like the valleys, oceans to stay connected to nature and life.”

Through art, students tend to pay attention to the little things and their details for the first time. They tend to observe what they see, interpret what they hear, understand needs and replicate them on their canvas sheets.

“To do craft is equal to reading a hundred books.”

Craft enables a person to induce creativity while their duties restrict them. Students at TIPS get equipped with basic craft ideas and with advanced imagination skills. The Art room in TIPS glitters as the pupil inside it makes wonders with all kinds of art and craftworks.

THE BEAT & THE TONE

“Music gives soul to the universe, wings to the mind, flight to the imagination and life to everything.” ~ Plato

TIPS band encompasses all musical talents. Guitarists, drummers, keyboardists and flutists are some of the many musicians the school has. Initially, students learn to catch the beat, only to draft their versions later. Music has no boundaries, which is why both classical and western notes are taught to the kids. When the notes are made, then why wait? TIPS has some of the finest singers on board and ensures their voices blend with the finest beats, as guided by experts.

“Dance is music made visible.”

Classical dance forms, western styles and other folk dances are all a means of expression. To express gracefully, powerfully and entertainingly is the real challenge that is solved through professional training at TIPS.

“An ounce of behaviour is worth a pound of words.” ~ Sanford Meisner

Acting is not faking but an imitation of different characters. TIPS promotes extracurricular expression not only through beats and steps but also through dialogues and actions. Drama experts train students to be a better image of somebody else and in that way, a better version of themselves.

THE LENS & ITS CAMERA

“Taking an image, freezing a moment reveals how rich reality truly is.”

A photograph is a frozen moment clicked by a photographer who helps others see what they see and how they see it. Students, when trained from a young age about the basics of photography, become masters in capturing the most delicate moments. The technical aspects along with the aesthetics are all served to the students by experienced professionals. With such advanced training, no smile/cry goes unnoticed in and out of the TIPS campus.

TIPSIAN CURRICULUM SAYS IT ALL

TIPS produces its own voice, beat and stills by training its own pupils

TIPS offers a space in its curriculum to render these art forms to its students as per their interests right from primary classes. An annual cultural event called ‘Performing Arts’ empowers various Tipsians to showcase their extracurricular and cultural talents to a mass audience. Various clubs for each cultural element on the campus bring in more participation and life to both the campus and its entities.
