International Programme

In today’s increasingly complex world, the importance of Internationalism in education keeps growing too. Education today is the synonym of globalization. In today’s fast changing world, International Education has become a necessity rather than a luxury. The world places high demands of cultural adaptability on the young people today. TIPS Education helps the youth to achieve this.

IB Mission

The International Baccalaureate aims to develop inquiring, knowledgeable and caring young people who help to create a better and more peaceful world through intercultural understanding and respect.

To this end the organization works with schools, governments and international organizations to develop challenging programmes of international education and rigorous assessment.

These programmes encourage students across the world to become active, compassionate and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

The Indian Public School, Erode is an authorized IB PYP World School.

IB Primary Years Programme

Students are inspired and challenged to develop a sense of inquiry, love for learning and to take responsibilities in life academically and personally. The essential goal of the Primary Program is to have each child become an independent learner while valuing the interdependence in the world during the five essential forming years of life. It offers a balance between learning about or through the subject areas, and learning beyond them.

Evaluation is an ongoing process which happens throughout their learning process and happens through different forms. TIPS educate the students to care and respect the school community and community in which they live.

Cambridge Lower Secondary Programme (Gr.6 to 8)

Lower Secondary Program or Secondary Program 1 for 11-14yrs (Grade 6 to 8) provides a seamless progression from Primary or can be used as a standalone Educational Programme to develop learners skills and confidence in English, Mathematics and Science. It offers an Educational Programme framework for educational success for learners, typically 11-14 years old, with an optional testing structure which includes a variety of items commonly used in the day to day life like eating, putting on a costume and so on. This programme encourages promoting students’ high self esteem.

The Benefits of a Subject Based Approach

A good exposure and engagement in a variety of subjects during the age of 11-16 gives students an indispensable intellectual toolkit. Subject based syllabuses allow for much more than the transmission of knowledge necessary for further study or work. They promote meaningful engagement in real problems, and help develop high-level skills that students can apply in unfamiliar situations. Using the ‘discipline’ and approach of an individual subject, thinking about the world can be rigorous and demanding.

The world looks very different to a biologist than it does to a historian. The same world looks even more exciting if you can look at it from a range of perspectives. They encourage creativity, provoke reflection and promote joined up thinking.

Cambridge Upper Secondary Programme (Gr.9 to 10)

“Educating for success in tomorrow’s world”

We know students are learning for life. Rather than just helping the students getting good grades and giving students passports for immediate progression, we need a school educational programme to give students the skills that will bring lifelong success in tomorrow’s world.

Cambridge Secondary 2 is typically for learners aged 14 – 16 years (Grade 8 and 10). It builds on the foundations of Cambridge Secondary 1, and supports schools using learner centered and enquiry-based approaches to learning and at the end of Cambridge Secondary 2, learners gain Cambridge CIE qualifications. Cambridge Secondary 2 provides excellent progression to the next stage of Cambridge International Education – Cambridge Advanced for 16 – 19 years – as well as other progression routes like IB Diploma.
