Every new academic year holds new challenges, new avenues to explore and new opportunities to learn.
The purpose of a parent orientation at school is to familiarise parents with school processes, curriculum and methodology. In the early years especially, involvement and collaboration of parents is key in facilitating a smooth and successful transition to the kindergarten learning environment.
On 6th June a parent orientation programme for Playgroup and IB was organised at TIPS KG Campus – Thindal . KG Principal, Mrs. Sumita Sen Mazumdar, welcomed the parents giving them an introduction into the KG calendar, curriculum planners, and general guidelines for parents.
Early Years Academic Director, Mrs. Parasakthi A, presented the different and typical phases early years children from 1.5 to 6 years go through along their kindergarten journey, what to expect and when, and how best to make it a meaningful, joyful experience with a focus on achieving all age-appropriate milestones.
This was followed by refreshments and classroom tours.
