Philosophy:

We facilitate a safe, friendly and constructive school climate for our stakeholders, where they can be themselves and openly express their opinions, where they feel secure and learn to live virtuously. We believe that every child is unique and that children learn better when they are in a happy state of mind. Our learning engagements are designed to focus on developing skills that are required to become confident, lifelong learners to face the future. Integration of academic knowledge and skills across different scholastic and co-scholastic disciplines makes sure every learning leads to meaningful action.
We provide curriculum that is dynamic, encompassing, balanced, rigorous and relevant towards supporting children to be confident and well rounded. It is incessantly reviewed and revised to enhance student learning. Building research attitude in children to comprehend and approach local to global issues, and to create new knowledge is our commitment towards a brighter and better world. We are committed to creating ample opportunities for children to explore, learn and grow, thus providing exposure to the immediate world and beyond. We recognize and identify the strengths of children; foster them to follow their heart, motivate them to take up new challenges, believe in competing with themselves and improve, and help them realize the need to grow responsibly.

Academic Excellence

CBSE Results March 2019-20(Class X and XII)

There were around 360 students from grade X and grade XII who had appeared for the CBSE Board Exams and we are indeed proud to say that the Highest Marks was 489. and there were 2 centum in Mathematics and 1 centum in Science in Grade X.

In Grade XII the Highest Mark was 482, and the school gained cent percent results.

We congratulate these students for their excellent performance and extend warm wishes for their bright future.

NEET and IIT Results

We also had good scores in the NEET and IIT Exams conducted in 2019-20. There were 12 students with top scores in NEET ranging from 513 to 619 and 4 Students who have been successfully placed in the IIT admissions.

Facilitators:

The most valuable resource that any school can have is its staff.

The school collectively has an enthusiastic and dedicated team of 120 Facilitators in the Senior Secondary, Secondary, the Primary and the Pre-Primary sections. In addition, we have Non-Teaching and Support staff. Their coordination with each other is what enables the school to function smoothly and grow with new perspectives.

Innovation is the change that unlocks new value that leads to betterment and success.

The School continues to strive towards Innovation and the latest practices in the field of Pedagogy are being continuously incorporated.

To enhance the teaching and learning strategies in our facilitators as well as to motivate the ability of our teachers for their professional growth, continuous workshops were being conducted for the facilitators.

Training, Seminars, Orientation and Counseling:

Each academic year, trainings, seminars and orientation programmes are conducted for teachers and students with a dual focus to improve and effectively implement innovative ideas in teaching-learning practices as well as to take the students beyond their current level of learning.

A real teacher is one who realizes that he/she must always be a learner.

In an effort to better themselves, a considerable number of our teachers have acquired degrees in B.Ed, M.Ed as well as other professional degrees in their pursuit of knowledge.

PDC Workshops on :

were conducted to help the facilitators resume their classes during the Pandemic Lockdown so that the teaching and learning process was not affected. Facilitators were oriented on how to use the Leaning Management Tools effectively where online classes, assignments, tests could be conducted.

were conducted.

POP- Parents Orientation Programme

An orientation was given to teachers on how parents can be involved in the teaching – learning process of the children.

Parents’ and Teachers’ Meeting:

A General Meeting with the parents is held on a regular basis for the parents to be aware of the school system and to be aware of their ward’s performance in school.

If you develop a passion for learning you will never cease to grow.

Academic Activities:

Competitions and academic activities that go beyond the text books and the classrooms, encourage and foster a healthy competitive spirit and effective communication skills in the students. The activities are conducted at classroom level, school level and inter-house level. Some of these events are handwriting, essay, speech and slogan writing competitions. Competitions are also held for poetry recitation, story writing and narration, debate, English and Tamil/Hindi elocution, GK and Maths quiz competitions. Prizes are awarded during school assembly.

English Science, Maths and Finance Olympiads are conducted every year and the students perform excellently at the local as well as National level.

The school subscribes to various educational and entertainment magazines and periodicals which are available for the students to borrow and read.

Aristotle rightly said that educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all.

Value based education is given for self development and personality development. This is done with the aim to inculcate in students values like honesty, gratitude, forgiveness, kindness etc. In addition, throughout the school year, on every working day, assemblies are conducted on a wide variety of value based themes and topics.

Co-curricular and Extracurricular activities:

These are an essential part of the life of an educational institution as they strengthen the classroom learning as well as develop the personality of the child and harness the in-depth potential of students. The activities are conducted throughout the year.

Some of these events are Dance Competitions, Cookery Competitions, Poster Making, Best out of waste, chart making as well as dance competitions. Participation by the students and teachers in these events was very commendable.

It is said that you must practice like you never won and perform like you have never lost.

Games and Sports Competitions:

Physical well-being attributes to mental well-being . Games and sports develop a sense of friendliness among the children and also build their team spirit. It helps children to develop mental and physical toughness. Bearing this in mind, the school provides ample opportunities for students to perform regular exercises and yoga, and to play and prove their mettle in various sports and games. Our students have participated in various inter school and Sahodaya competitions in athletics, badminton, basketball, swimming etc and have won laurels.

Unique Events:

During the COVID-19 Lockdown, a ‘Sporty Challenge’ was conducted for students to motivate them to stay fit and lessen their stress. Students took it up on  a positive note and participated with enthusiasm.

Online Study during Covid 19 :

The nationwide lockdown following the COVID-19 pandemic has led to a burst of activity with online education. The COVID-19 has resulted in schools shut all across the world. Globally, over 1.2 billion children are out of the classroom. As a result, education has changed dramatically, with the distinctive rise of e-learning, whereby teaching is undertaken remotely and on digital platforms.

At TIPS, teachers and coordinators are regularly in contact with the students and parents and taking the online classes regularly through MS Teams, Google Classrooms. Apart from this, students are given various other extracurricular activities such as drawing, cooking, singing, dance etc. on day-to-day basis which they can carry out at their home and to encourage them we put their videos on social media and websites.

Conclusion:

We believe that every Year brings changes with new innovations. As we are passing through an unprecedented crisis situation in the year 2020 we are confident that we will overcome all the odds by our strong will and ethics and pave the way for the betterment of the education fraternity and the society in general. Towards this, we have started our Online Classes from the March 2020 using various Innovative tools to facilitate learning by the students.
